We are beginning the next phase of restoring the historic interurban station. In 2015 restoration was completed on the exterior of the building. Currently a team of workers is remodeling the inside of the building to be used as a museum; and the annex building to become the society office, meeting place, gift shop and restroom facility for the complex.
We would gratefully accept monetary donations, but we also welcome building material donations such as dry wall, paint, furnaces, bathroom fixtures, etc. We could also use help with running new wiring in both buildings. If you've got a skill and you wish to volunteer, just contact us.

Jon Russell of Russell Design, Kokomo, IN, is in charge of the completion of the project. http://www.jdrtist.com/
The floor in the middle room was removed to find the original concrete foundation for the dynamo - the machine that converted AC to DC current to power the trolley lines.
Starting out as Marion, Kokomo and Western Traction Company the light rail system went through several owners and name changes. As you can see from this time table it was owned by Indiana Railways & Light Co in 1921. It also went under the name United States Express Co.
We heartily thank Peggy Hollingsworth of Russiaville who graciously donated this original timetable. If you have any such artifacts we would love to place them in the completed museum.
