1965 Palm Sunday Tornado

The tornado swept through Russiaville at around 7:35 pm on Sunday, April 11, 1965 leaving nothing but devastation in its path.  Many residents who lived through that fateful day still remember it with intensity.  We have published a book of photos and stories that tell many of their stories.  And are now in the process of collecting stories and photos for a second volume.  If you have a story to tell specifically about the Russiaville area or photos to share, please email us at  marsha@russiavillehistory.org.
